Unleashing Teacher Leadership: Ensuring Effective Instruction in Every Classroom

The National Institute for Excellence in Teaching has partnered with thousands of educators to develop effective teacher leaders. We have identified specific practices that scale high-quality instruction. In this session, Texas leaders share how these practices ensure all students are educated by effective teachers and school leaders. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on the structures, processes, and tools teacher leaders use to coach and support effective instructional practice, and will analyze how teacher leaders play a critical role in supporting teachers in strengthening their practice to differentiate instruction and provide learning for every student.

Outcomes:

After this session, participants will be able to share information about the roles and responsibilities of teacher leaders and identify specific practices teacher leaders can use to support the development of effective instructional practice that impact student outcomes.
