Understanding, Examining, and Analyzing: The Transformative Power of Artificial Intelligence in Education

P01

This comprehensive workshop will take you through a historical and foundational understanding of artificial intelligence (AI). We will look at how artificial intelligence will not only shape the future of education but also transform many of the things we do. Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in a variety of interactive activities, including hands-on exercises, small-group/large-group discussions, and collaborative exploration of shared resources. These activities are designed to ensure that attendees not only comprehend the theoretical aspects of AI but also gain practical insights into its applications, along with possible policy implementation addressing things such as cheating and plagiarism. The workshop will spotlight various facets of AI, such as generative AI, large language models, and image generators. By examining these specific AI technologies, participants will gain deeper insight into their capabilities and potential impact on the field of education. This workshop emphasizes that AI is not merely a futuristic concept but a transformative force that is already reshaping educational practices. Workshop participants will also explore how AI is influencing instructional design, personalized learning, assessment methods, and many administrative tasks.
