Creating Transformational Learning Experiences for All Students

This year, ASCD+ISTE will be unveiling the Principles for Transformational Learning, a set of evidence-based guidelines to help educators increase amazing and impactful learning experiences for all students. Be among the first to get an in-depth look at this framework and offer feedback! This session will include an introduction to the principles and their grounding in learning science and ASCD+ISTE’s legacy and mission; reflective and interactive activities to help participants explore transformational learning experiences; and insights from a panel of instructional experts on how the principles can shape learning cultures and practices in schools.

Anthony Rebora

Chief Content Officer

ASCD

Anthony Rebora is the Chief Content Officer for ASCD+ISTE, overseeing publications and content development across platforms. Previously, he was the editor in chief of Educational Leadership, ASCD's flagship magazine, and led content development for the association's fast-evolving digital outlets. Under his leadership, Educational Leadership won numerous awards for editorial excellence, increased the breadth of its coverage and contributors, and greatly expanded its online reach. Rebora was formerly a managing editor at Education Week. As a content developer, his foremost goals are to empower diverse educator voices and raise awareness of critical issues and solutions in education.

Dr. Keisha Chandler

Managing Director, Partner Success

ASCD + ISTE

Dr. Keisha Chandler is an experienced education expert, currently serving as Managing Director of Partner Success at ASCD. With a Doctor of Education from Northeastern University and a Master of Science in training and organizational development, she has taught K-12 in urban school districts across the US. Keisha is a 2021-2022 DC Education Policy Fellow with the Institute of Educational Leadership and an adjunct professor at Trinity Washington University. She has also published works in the Journal for Research on African-American Women and the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses database.

Tara Nattrass

Managing Director, Innovation Strategy

ASCD + ISTE

Dr. Tara Nattrass is the Managing Director of Innovation Strategy at ISTE+ASCD, collaborating with educators on reinventing learning with a focus on innovative learning models, professional learning, and emerging technologies. Prior to joining the ISTE+ASCD team, Tara served as a Chief Education Innovation Strategist at Dell Technologies, consulting with educational leaders across districts and states and building meaningful partnerships with national agencies and organizations. Tara also spent over 20 years serving in school districts, including as Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for Arlington Public Schools (VA). Tara earned a Doctorate in K-12 Educational Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University.
