What Is My Value to the Teachers That I Supervise...INSTRUCTIONALLY?

The presenter argues that, “The primary purpose of staff supervision is the continued improvement of instruction.” When the instructional side of leadership suffers, it adversely impacts the entire school academically. The presenter will provide attendees with strategies toward maintaining a focus on the instructional side of their leadership.

Purpose & Objectives:

The purpose of this presentation is to ensure that school leaders understand and prioritize their roles as instructional leaders. Struggling or average teachers are not going to get better by reading a book or listening to a podcast solely. They require coaching; they require oversight; they require direction; they require feedback; they require leadership. This session will provide participants with strategies toward becoming / being the instructional leaders and coaches that the teachers that they supervise require that they be.
