Leading Through Change: Addressing the Elephant in the Room

This session will be designed to motivate participants to think critically about current practices with addressing chronic challenges within their schools. Participants will select, define and provide new solutions to challenges through the inspection of data and policies as a connection to improving school performance.

Purpose & Objectives:

This session will be designed to engage school-based and central office leaders in a reflective process regarding their impact on addressing chronic school challenges. We will grapple with the theory of technical and adaptive leadership; how they are best leveraged for problem-solving and school achievement results. Participants will leave this session renewed to think deeply about their approach and defining challenges; inspecting antiquated polices that impact school performance and using a process to monitor the fidelity of their adaptive leadership.
