Transform Your School with Everyday, Micro Innovations

True transformation happens when small changes in teaching add up to big differences in learning. Learn to transform your classrooms by a) building on a shared understanding of core instruction, b) identifying where small changes can make a big difference, and c) using classroom data to “fail forward” to transformation.

Purpose & Objectives:

You’ll walk away from this session with 1) Tools to help your teachers develop a shared understanding of powerful teaching and learning, 2) Tools to help you pinpoint where small changes in classroom practice could make a big difference in student engagement and learning, 3) Tools to engage everyone at your school in the process of continuous improvement, and 4) A plan for engaging your teachers in a more joyful approach to improvement with everyday innovations.

You'll also hear the real-life success story of a school system (Wilson County Schools in Tennessee) that has helped its teachers translate the core instructional strategies found in The New Classroom Instruction that Works (ASCD, 2022) to into micro innovations that have led to big changes in their classrooms.
