Elevating Transformational Learning for All Students
Join us for an insightful panel discussion on the essential elements of impactful, trajectory-changing student learning. This session will explore the recently released ISTE+ASCD Transformational Learning Principles, offering participants a chance to engage with top instructional and school system leaders as they share their perspectives on how to create the conditions for more meaningful and joyful learning experiences. They will share both philosophical and practical approaches to elevating engaging, creative learning experiences for all students, and discuss strategies for overcoming barriers to high-engagement learning in today’s education climate. Participants will have opportunities to reflect on their own experiences of transformational learning and exchange ideas with peers. You'll leave equipped with fresh insights, practical strategies, and inspiration to enhance learning experiences in your own educational setting.

Jeremy S. Owoh, Ed.D., is the superintendent of the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District in Jacksonville, Arkansas, and president-elect of the ASCD + ISTE Board of Directors. He began his education career as a high school English teacher and has served as a dean; assistant principal; principal; assistant superintendent of curriculum, instruction, and desegregation; and assistant commissioner of educator effectiveness and licensure. Owoh has also served as an adjunct instructor/professor for several colleges, including the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, as well as an affiliate faculty member at Arkansas Tech University at Russellville. He continues to teach students through the newly formed Master of Education in Educational Leadership at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and the Education Doctoral Program at Southern Arkansas University, where he shares current concepts and strategies to assist students as they further their educational careers.

Dr. Olga Romero is the Secondary Executive Director at Fort Worth ISD, overseeing middle school principals. She believes that the work of educational leaders is essential for achieving social justice, viewing education as a tool to empower scholars in making informed life choices and attaining self-efficacy through meaningful learning experiences. Prior to this role, she was the Founding Principal of Dallas Hybrid Prep (DHP) at Dallas ISD, where she established a flexible learning model combining virtual and in-person instruction. She also led Hall Personalized Learning Academy, a Texas Education Agency six distinctions school in Oak Cliff. Before her tenure at Dallas ISD, Dr. Romero gained over 18 years of experience in communications management. As a corporate spokesperson for Southwest Airlines, she led Hispanic communications and media relations, promoting cultural awareness and inclusion. She holds a doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy from Southern Methodist University, a master's in Urban School Leadership, a master's in Public Relations and Media Writing from Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico, and a bachelor's in Public Communications and Photojournalism.

Suzanne Dailey is an instructional coach in the Central Bucks School District, where she has the honor and joy of working with over 500 elementary teachers and 8,000 students. She teaches model lessons, facilitates professional development sessions, and mentors teachers. Suzanne is Nationally Board Certified, a fellow of the National Writing Project, and has a Masters Degree in Reading. She is dedicated to nurturing and developing the whole child and teacher and presents these topics at a local, state and national level. Suzanne is the author of Teach Happier this School Year: 40 Weeks of Inspiration & Reflection and the host of the popular weekly podcast, Teach Happier.

In her work in schools, Dr. Teresa Hill strives to make the system work for every child. She is devoted to eliminating achievement gaps and ending what she terms “failure as a default”. Her motto is “All children can learn . . . Period.” Teresa began her career teaching thirty-one kindergarten students in Peoria, IL. She has served as a Superintendent in South Holland, IL since 2012. Dr. Teresa Hill is a speaker and author whose work focuses on underserved communities. Her most recent book is titled, The Instructional Leader’s Guide to Closing Achievement Gaps: Five Keys for Improving Student Outcomes.
