Dr. Olga Romero is the Secondary Executive Director at Fort Worth ISD, overseeing middle school principals. She believes that the work of educational leaders is essential for achieving social justice, viewing education as a tool to empower scholars in making informed life choices and attaining self-efficacy through meaningful learning experiences. Prior to this role, she was the Founding Principal of Dallas Hybrid Prep (DHP) at Dallas ISD, where she established a flexible learning model combining virtual and in-person instruction. She also led Hall Personalized Learning Academy, a Texas Education Agency six distinctions school in Oak Cliff. Before her tenure at Dallas ISD, Dr. Romero gained over 18 years of experience in communications management. As a corporate spokesperson for Southwest Airlines, she led Hispanic communications and media relations, promoting cultural awareness and inclusion. She holds a doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy from Southern Methodist University, a master's in Urban School Leadership, a master's in Public Relations and Media Writing from Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico, and a bachelor's in Public Communications and Photojournalism.
