Dr. Ellen James is a professor at Austin Community College and a mathematics teacher at University of Texas High School with twenty years of secondary and post-secondary math and computer science teaching experience. She earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a STEM Specialization from Texas Tech University, a master's degree in mathematics from Tarleton University, a master’s degree in mathematics education from the University of Houston, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. She enjoys Longhorn football, has a granddaughter and two golden retrievers, and loves to travel with her best friend and husband, Jesse.
