Dr. Aileen Hower is an Associate Professor of Literacy Education at Millersville University where she is the Assistant Department chair, coordinator for the Online Degree Completion program, and graduate coordinator for the M.Ed. in Language and Literacy with reading and ESL specialist certifications. She earned her Ed.D. in Reading and Language Arts Leadership from Widener University. Aileen previously taught middle and high school English, was a HS Reading Specialist, and a PK-12 Literacy Supervisor. She is currently the co-author with Pérsida Himmele of Centering ELLs in the Science of Reading (Quick Reference Guide).
