Alisa Simeral is an educational leadership author, consultant, and innovator with more than 28 years of experience developing leadership capacity and driving school improvement. As Chief Education Officer of Learning Systems, she partners with districts nationwide to strengthen leadership, professional learning, and instructional impact. She has served as an ASCD/ISTE faculty member for nearly two decades and continues to design and deliver customized professional learning through ASCD’s Professional Learning Services.
Known for her practical, engaging approach, Alisa helps leaders understand the critical difference between leading children and leading adults. Her work focuses on principal and instructional coach development, transforming professional learning communities, strengthening data-informed decision-making, and building feedback systems that move beyond compliance to real growth. She believes culture is the strategy of leadership.
Alisa is the co-author of several books, including Building Teachers’ Capacity for Success, Creating a Culture of Reflective Practice, and The Principal Influence. Through her writing, speaking, and consulting, she remains committed to empowering leaders at every level to create meaningful, lasting impact.
