John Meehan is an English teacher, instructional coach, and professional development specialist from Washington, D.C. He is the author of EDrenaline Rush (2019) and the co-author of Fully Engaged (2021) and Playing with Purpose (2026) – both of which he co-authored with Michael Matera, author of eXPlore Like a Pirate (2015). John is an ASCD Emerging Leader (2017), a current member of the Pulitzer Center's Teacher Advisory Council on AI, and an alumnus of The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Teacher Advisory Council.
