Event Information
Students will present the development of their project about mental health that has been implemented in our school and propose its implementation in other schools to support children from an early age. This includes:
2:00 min – Introduction
• Greet the audience.
• Briefly introduce the team and the purpose of the presentation.
• Present the title: Tech4Wellness: talk, feel, and heal from your heart
• State the main goal: to share a mental health project implemented at our school and propose its expansion to other schools.
5:00 min Project Overview
• Explain the motivation behind the project Describe the key components:
o Website with methodology.
o Blog, chatbot, and digital resources (capsules, podcasts, games).
o ICT tools used.
o Robot with emotion-detecting sensors.
o Physical kits with emotional learning games.
5:00 min – Demonstration of Tools
• Show a quick preview of the website and its sections.
• Mention how the chatbot works
• Highlight one or two interactive games or podcasts.
• Briefly explain how the robot detects emotions.
• Show examples of the physical kits and how they are used in class.
5:00 min – Implementation Plan for Other Schools
• Describe how other schools can adopt the project.
• Mention the required ICT resources and training.
• Explain how the methodology is adaptable to different school contexts.
• Emphasize the importance of early intervention and emotional education.
3:00 min – Success Stories
• Share one or two short success stories or testimonials from students or teachers.
• Highlight positive changes observed in students’ emotional well-being.
2:00 min – Conclusion and Call to Action
• Summarize the key benefits of the project.
• Invite other schools to join the initiative.
• Thank the audience and open the floor for questions (if time allows).
This sequence will be repeated.
The audience will be able to learn from the students about the project, review the webpage in their devices, interact with the robot, use the kits and play games, share personal experiences, interact with the chatbot, listen to podcasts, watch the informative capsules, discover the success stories and learn about the implementation of the project.
The presentation includes peer-to-peer interactions to talk about emotions and strategies or activities to improve one's emotional state. It also includes device-based activities to listen to podcasts, view informative capsules, participate in the blog, interact with the chatbot and "emocibot", follow emocibot's instructions to use a specific kit with games according to the emotion that the user chose. The audience devices will also be used to learn about the process to implement this project and about success stories.
After this session, participants will be able to validate how tech tools can be useful not just for educational or recreative purposes but to help K-8 students thrive in school by meeting their emotional and social needs. They will also be able to learn how to implement this project in their schools based on the process and success stories described in the project's webpage, share experiences in the website's blog, and ask the chatbot about strategies to make one's feel better.
