Session description
Based on his acclaimed book Leading Through Pain, Robert Jackson delivers a research-driven, deeply practical 1-hour workshop that transforms how school leaders navigate adversity, trauma, and the relentless pressures of educational leadership. With 65% of school leaders reporting burnout and 42% considering leaving the profession, this workshop addresses the urgent mental health crisis in school leadership while providing immediately applicable tools to lead through pain rather than be destroyed by it. Participants will learn the critical distinction between bosses who manage and leaders who inspire, master strategies for creating psychologically safe schools where both adults and students can heal and thrive, and discover how to turn their personal struggles into their greatest leadership assets. Mr. Jackson’s vulnerable storytelling combined with evidence-based frameworks provides leaders with both inspiration and implementation strategies they can use Monday morning.
