Engagement: Padlet for participants to share their experience with student notebooks and e-texts, in the format of "The Good/the bad/the ugly" (5 minutes)
Creating accounts/logging in to existing accounts for Book Creator and Canva (5 minutes)
Canva: Creating a presentation, choosing backgrounds, resizing, and downloading (15 minutes)
Book Creator: Uploading backgrounds, writing content, interactive add-ins, formatting (30 minutes)
Q&A (5 minutes)
I plan to show each step by example and then circulate the room and provide assitance as needed. I will have people sit by grade or content area so that they can share ideas with those nearby
Teachers will design an e-text with 1-2 pages that are specific to their content. They will learn how to pull in background graphics from Canva and how to add interactive elements seamlessly. They will also have access to the presentation which has tutorials that they can look back on for help later.
