Session description
We are facing a "Digital Native Fallacy" in the age of Generative AI. While students possess high "interface confidence"—believing their ability to generate a prompt equals mastery, they often lack the technical and critical-thinking skills to audit, iterate, and refine AI outputs to a professional standard. This talk addresses the AI Efficacy Gap: the disconnect between students’ perceived fluency and their functional readiness for the workforce.
I will break down the root causes of this paradox using the "5 Whys" framework and redefine the problem as a "Problem of Practice" for modern educators. Finally, I will share actionable strategies to move students from Passive Consumption to Active Orchestration, shifting the classroom focus from "The Answer" to "The Architecture." Join me to learn how to help students move beyond the first prompt and toward true AI-augmented expertise.
