While the initial wave of Generative AI focused on "saving time" and administrative automation, the educators of Birmingham City Schools are ready for more. My action research reveals a pivotal shift: 60% of surveyed staff prioritize Instructional Innovation (enhancing critical thinking and creativity) over mere administrative efficiency. Furthermore, 75.6% of teachers prefer hands-on workshops focused on redesigning specific assignments rather than general tool overviews.
