Session description
Research shows that nearly 95% of students can learn to read proficiently with explicit, evidence-based instruction, yet many districts continue to see disproportionate outcomes. Designed for district and curriculum leaders, this session will examine systemic barriers such as fragmented implementation and inequitable access that limit literacy success.
Grounded in Science of Reading implementation efforts, and today’s policy and funding realities, participants will explore the gap between literacy as a promise and literacy as a lived reality for students.
