Session description

Why do district AI initiatives so often fail to translate into safe, widespread classroom practice? School districts across the country face a critical mismatch: an abundance of official guidelines, but a severe deficit in real staff knowledge and practical implementation capacity. This station showcases how Cumberland County Schools leveraged action research to bridge these gaps. By architecting an aligned AI ecosystem, our district united a cross-functional coalition to engineer a ""low-floor, high-ceiling"" educator capacity model designed to break down departmental silos. Come interact with us to:
  • Explore concrete artifacts from our experiential CCS AI Playground.
  • Examine our tiered, role-specific professional learning design built for district leadership, certified staff, and classified personnel.
  • Take away practical strategies to scale human innovation and CCS AI policies across every role in your district.
