Make It Stick! Creating Unforgettable Learning Experiences

Students forget most of what they learn in the classroom. We can change that by designing learning experiences that better reflect how students’ brains work. We’ll walk you through a process for embedding brain-based shifts into unit and lesson design to deliver unforgettable (and joyful) student learning experiences.

Outcomes:

After this session, you will understand three key phases of memory; know how to avoid four fatal flaws of forgettable learning experiences; be able to incorporate three brain-based shifts into instructional design (curiosity, cognition, and creation).
