Kate is an educator who believes that CS should be introduced and celebrated in the elementary levels of education. Holding multiple master's degrees, including Library Science and Education, she crafted a curriculum blending digital citizenship, research, and coding for Pre-K to 5th grade. She has worked with both state and local committees to develop and implement an AI curriculum for her classes and district. Uses online tools, unplugged activities and robotics tools like Micro:Bits and Hummingbirds. An ISTE certified educator, she has also led county-wide professional development initiatives, and managed grant work to improve teacher technology skills.
