Session description

Join the editors of the Journal of Digital Learning in Teacher Education (JDLTE) for an engaging session highlighting innovative research on technology integration in preservice and inservice teacher education. This session will highlight the JDLTE Research Award paper on using media production to help middle schoolers spot and stop misinformation. Through hands-on production of podcasts, videos, and infographics, combined with misinformation-detection games such as Fake It to Make It and Lamboozled, students shifted from passive consumers to critical, socially responsible media creators. Leave with a classroom-ready framework for critical media literacy
