Session description

Imagine students testing water quality in local streams or investigating invasive species on school grounds. Place-based education (PBE) connects learning to the world outside your classroom. Gain strategies, examples, and resources, including digital and AI tools for planning, analysis, and engagement--turning your community into a living STEM lab!

Outline

Slideshow and materials with information on how PBE supports learning in real-world contexts.
Poster with QR codes to scan, leading to resources that guide teachers through project ideas and examples, local resources, and digital tool use cases.
Interactive tech tool will be used to seek feedback and insights from educators about use of digital tools to support learning in the community.
