Session description

Your class closes the cover on the last pages of their novel. Your students have spent weeks discussing and analyzing characters, themes, and events. Now it is time to unleash the students’ creativity. In this session, you’ll discover how to use Gemini as a collaborative director and writer while reframing and reimagining the story. We’ll demonstrate how students can leverage Gemini to distill complex themes from a text into raw dialogue and foundational scripts. The real magic, however, happens in the human edit: students must critique, refine, and justify their revisions to the AI’s draft. Whether your students choose to produce cinematic short films or stylized comic strips, this method encourages them to "genre-bend" or craft alternate endings that prove their mastery of the source material. Join us to learn how to transform passive reading into active, AI-augmented world-building that hits your rigorous ELA standards.
