Cristina has over 20 years experience teaching science in public and independent schools. Her specialties include creative sci-art projects, inquiry labs, and science storytelling. In 2024, she developed a Wonder Essay Curriculum and discussion questions for the paperback edition of NYT-bestselling World of Wonders by Aimee Nezhukumatathil. Her professional honors include St. Lucie County Florida Teacher of the Year and these fellowships: National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher, Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator in the U.S. Senate, and NOAA Teacher at Sea.
