Session description

GenerationAI Luminary Award winners share how they are using AI to redesign learning experiences, expand student agency, and develop skills students need for an AI-enabled world. Panelists will discuss real classroom and school examples, key design decisions, and lessons learned that can inform leaders and educators at any stage.

Outline

1. Welcome & Framing (5 minutes)

Brief framing of the session purpose and connection to preparing AI-ready graduates

Introduction of GenerationAI Luminary panelists and their contexts

Engagement & Process:

Quick audience poll (hands raised or QR-based) to surface who’s in the room and their role

Establish guiding question for the session: What does meaningful AI use look like in learning?

2. Luminary Perspectives: Practice Snapshots (15 minutes)

Content: Each Luminary (3 presenters) shares a concise example of how they are using AI to redesign learning (student role, task design, outcomes, lessons learned)

Engagement & Process: Panel responses structured around common prompts to ensure coherence

Audience encouraged to note patterns, questions, and transferable ideas using a shared prompt or note-catcher

3. Moderated Panel Discussion (20 minutes)

Content: Facilitated conversation exploring design decisions, challenges, and shifts in thinking

Emphasis on student agency, authenticity, and alignment to learning goals

Engagement & Process:

Live audience questions collected verbally or via a digital backchannel

Facilitator synthesizes themes and connects examples across panelists

4. Peer Reflection & Application (10 minutes)

Content: Attendees reflect on how ideas from the panel could apply in their own context

Engagement & Process: Structured turn-and-talk using guiding questions

Participants identify one practice, strategy, or design move they want to explore or adapt

5. Synthesis & Closing (5 minutes)

Content: Key takeaways connected back to preparing students for an AI-enabled world

Invitation to continue learning through GenerationAI communities

Engagement & Process:

Exit reflection (verbal or digital): One idea I’m taking forward

Clear closing that reinforces relevance across roles and contexts
