Noakes partners with educators, leaders, and learners, to identify the field’s priorities and create clear edtech quality signals through product certifications. Educators and education leaders utilize these quality indicators to efficiently sift through edtech options, simplifying their efforts to find tools that center learners' diverse experiences and strengths. She aims to continue supporting districts, schools, and educators to more easily identify high quality edtech. Prior to Digital Promise, Sierra was a teacher in Brooklyn, New York. Sierra earned her Master’s in Education Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education and her B.A. in Government from Claremont McKenna College.
