William Heyler ‘19 is an Upper School history teacher at ‘Iolani School and a member of the Technology Advisory Group (TAG). He was part of the Summer 2024 AI Ethical Use School Based Innovation Grant (SBIG) team, where they developed an ethical use levels framework for the school. He also played a role in creating the student Digital Literacy Ambassador (DLA) program. Additionally, he helped organize and lead a school-wide AI Professional Development day for 7-12 faculty members, focusing on ethical use and tools. He has presented at several “lunch and learn” professional development opportunities for faculty.
