Dr. Avis Willliams is the CEO of The Joyful Collaborative, LLC and provides executive coaching and consulting to support thriving cultures and continuous improvement. She has served as a principal at every level, adjunct instructor, assistant superintendent and superintendent of Selma City Schools, AL and New Orleans Schools, LA. She is the past president of ASCD, Power 50: Most Influential in New Orleans, Dr. E. Jones Humanitarian Awardee, National School PR Association Superintendents to Watch, and Finalist for Alabama State Superintendent of Year. She wrote the children’s book Welcome to Chase Shadows and co-authored The Antiracist Roadmap to Educational Equity.
