Session description

There are endless opportunities to use technology in early childhood classrooms - even if you have only one or two devices. Allow your young students to develop their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through technology. This session will focus on small group activities, formative assessment, and much more.

Outline

Introduction (10 minutes). Participants will share on a Padlet the technology tools they use with their younger students. Time will be given for participants to share how they use the various tools. (20 minutes). Overview of technology tools available to use in K-2 classrooms (15 minutes). Present various lessons and activities in multiple subjects and grade levels. Attendees will have time to experiment with the various tools. (30 minutes). Follow-up time for questions and observations (15 minutes).
Process: The presenter will guide the participants through the various tools and resources that lend themselves for use in the K-2 classroom. Every participant will have access to resources electronically to take back to their classroom.
The session will include device-based activities and interactive learning games.
