Session description

Engage in a Science lesson through Virtual Reality! Explore interactive labs and VR creator spaces that transcend the traditional classroom. Discover firsthand how this technology captivates students, makes thinking visible, sparks creativity, fosters collaboration, and transforms learning. Leave inspired to transform your curriculum and take your teaching into the future!

Outline

The session will begin with an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) experience in a science lab. Participants will use VR headsets to enter a creator space, where they can manipulate 3D objects in real time. This multi-user environment allows participants to interact with both the models and each other, enhancing collaborative learning. For example, attendees can enlarge a heart to life size, disassemble bones from the skeletal system, examine a skull from multiple angles, or use a 3D pen to label and sketch concepts. The VR lab experience will last approximately 20 minutes, followed by 20 minutes in the creator space. The session will conclude with a 10-15 minute discussion and Q&A session for sharing insights and answering questions.
