Session description

Instructional Leadership is crucial. But it can seem intimidating, elusive, and even mysterious. Here’s the great news: Instructional Leadership is not rocket science. This session will focus on ten simple strategies that will empower school leaders to add value to the instructional program.

Outline

This session will expand on the ten strategies for effective instructional leadership, including:
-Being curious
-Being visible
-Being vulnerable
-Being willing to share
-Being relational
-Being strategic with delegation
-Being intentional
-Being focused on learning... not teaching
-Being committed to removing barriers
-Being about the culture

Each strategy will be covered in about 5 minutes and there will be time for participants to turn and talk about applications and implementations for each strategy in their school.
