Participants are encouraged to use their devices to engage with the content through QR codes. Guidance is offered, and questions are answered during the exploration of different resources.
1. Introduction and Greetings (2 mins): A brief conversation to understand the participants' backgrounds, familiarity with learning standards, and their motivations for attending the session.
2. Student Experience (5-10 mins): Participants act as students in a classroom, using QR codes to access interactive activities on their devices that showcase various standards-aligned, digital tools equipped with automatic scoring and feedback.
3. Discussion & Reflection (5 mins): This segment allows participants to discuss their experiences with the digital tools they just used and reflect on how these automated feedback mechanisms compare to their current grading practices and align to ISTE and their state's learning standards.
4. Automatic Feedback Tool Exploration (5-10 mins): Participants use QR codes to access interactive demos and tutorials that explain different digital tools and strategies for automatic scoring and feedback. Accompanying descriptions offer insights into how these tools can be set up and aligned to standards and the benefits they bring to educational settings.
5. Feedback Loop Setup (5-10 mins): In this final segment, participants explore resources that explain how to establish effective feedback loops. QR codes lead to step-by-step guides and best practice tips to help participants understand the setup process.
