Session description

Schools often find themselves gifted with technology to help teachers prepare their students to enter a STEM workforce. But who is preparing the teachers to instruct with this equipment? Here, we visit the importance of offering teachers a more sustainable model when it comes to technology equipment in the classroom.

Outline

I will be presenting on the success of creating a STEM technology lending library that ties in regular educator workshops on how to use the equipment in a classroom setting.

I will engage with them by presenting a poster designed to look more like an infographic to help catch attention.

Since this is a poster presentation, no more than 3-5 minutes will be spent explaining each portion of the poster, which will include things like statistics, first-hand accounts, and the success rate of our program.

I will engage the audience with peer-to-peer interaction.
