Session description

Empower students by using their voice and explanation to foster critical thinking. Explore teacher-specific AI tools with interactive whiteboards, recording, and media integration to transform learning. Discover how these tools provide instant, continuous feedback on authentic student thinking, with inspiring examples across various content areas and grade levels.

Outline

In this interactive session, we will explore how AI tools like Snorkl, SchoolAI, and Class Companion are transforming teaching practices and fostering critical thinking in K-12 classrooms. Participants will see firsthand how these tools can support student feedback, personalized learning, and reflection, while also enhancing teacher-student engagement.

We’ll start with a brief overview of how our district has integrated AI tools to support everyday classroom activities, including interactive whiteboards and TCT Spaces for teacher feedback. From there, you’ll dive into hands-on activities where you can design AI-powered lessons, collaborate with peers, and explore how AI can support students' voices and critical thinking.

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore real-world examples of AI in action, discuss strategies for effective implementation, and leave with a concrete plan for bringing AI into your own classroom. Whether you’re a seasoned AI user or just getting started, this session will provide valuable insights and practical tools for empowering your students and enhancing your teaching practice.
