Session description

Canva is a tool that many of us love to use to create. Canva can also support a sense of belonging in our classrooms. This session gives participants an idea of how teachers can utilize the Canva app in a classroom that fosters collaboration and culturally responsive teaching and learning.

Outline

Presenter will present session objectives and give participants a journey through her own classroom.
Presenter will facilitate her collaboration structures interactively with participants to first explain the three dimensions of equity in instruction through an interactive sort done in teams.
Presenter will then teach teams of participants how to utilize Canva in their space to integrate project-based learning in a setting with cognitively, culturally and linguistically diverse students.
Participants will view student products designed on Canva.
