Session description

Educators step into school with the power to ignite curiosity, foster growth, and inspire dreams. Learn how to start a daily routine of self-motivation and inspiration that will spark new energy for you to use as you embrace the challenges and triumphs of nurturing each student.

Outline

Introduction of the benefits of incorporating inspiration as a stress reduction strategy
Content: Present strategies for educators to build personal resilience through:
Reading and reflecting on daily motivational messages
Setting an intentional daily routine of finding calm and inspiration
Deep breathing techniques

Activity: Participants will engage in learning a deep breathing exercise that can be used personally and taught to students. A take home tool will be shared with each participant.
Activity: Participants will use a provided strategy to assess the amount of energy they have for finding daily inspiration. A take home tool will be shared with each participant.

Key engagement strategies:
Frequent peer to peer interaction via discussion and activities
Hands on activity (e.g. deep breathing, energy evaluation, intention setting) to ensure practical application
Opportunities for reflection and group feedback
