Session description

Teacher leaders possess a unique opportunity to strengthen instructional practice and enhance student learning but they need support. In this practical session teacher leaders and those who support them, will learn how to use an asset-based leadership self-assessment to help them skillfully lead the teacher teams they have and develop into the leaders they want to become.

10m. Intro to the digital Skillful Team Leader Self-Assessment Tool (Lecture w/ slides)

10m. Deep-dive into one of ten reflection categories and explore specific leadership look-for's. (Text-based break-out groups to help participants activate their own knowledge.)

15m. Sample coaching conversation helping a teacher leader self-assess with the tool. (Transcript or video from Hawaiian or Brazilian coach)

10m. Goal setting and moves. (Elisa models an action plan worksheet)
