Actions for Innovating Teacher Education from ISTE's Educator Preparation Program Award Winner

The presenters bring their award-winning approaches to integrating innovative technology with teacher preparation. They open the space to questions and dialog about their complex landscape of teacher preparation, particularly with the advent of Generative AI. Recognizing the importance of connecting context to technology integration, they also present recent research with teacher preparation faculty and impacts on 700+ teachers in the field. They explore how, despite fairly limited resources, technology is integrated successfully and how faculty in teacher preparation are learning to shift their perspectives to cautious adoption of Generative AI tools with their pre-service and in-service teachers.
