Our playground explores ongoing innovations in higher education. Through hands-on experiences, learning stations will demonstrate how higher education is responding to current demands, such as AI, accreditation, curriculum challenges, digital citizenship, UDL, diversity, and inclusion.

HBGCC - Innovation Arcade - Exploration Lab C

Attendees will be immersed in a student-centered, literacy-integrated STEM lesson that combines culturally responsive literature and the engineering design process to foster engagement, creativity, and problem-solving in elementary students. Acting as students, they will analyze diverse children's books, identify real-world problems, and prototype AI-enhanced solutions. This hands-on model lesson demonstrates discussion scaffolding, problem-solving strategies, and AI-driven differentiation, providing firsthand experience in how AI tools and diverse storytelling can support inclusive, inquiry-driven STEM education. This immersive, hands-on session will equip educators with practical strategies, AI-enhanced tools, and a student-centered framework to create inclusive, engaging, and impactful STEM learning experiences in their own classrooms.
