Session description

Virtual film production is a growing industry, and students are eager to learn about it! Chad Lewis shares the steps for creating his school’s virtual filmmaking program. Hear first-hand experiences, from selecting technologies to creating a curriculum, and learn how to put together an innovative program for your students!

Outline

5 minutes – Introduction and audience survey on familiarity of virtual filmmaking.
10 minutes – Background on Tampa Prep’s virtual filmmaking program.
5 minutes – Description of Tampa Prep’s technology buildup for virtual filmmaking program.
5 minutes – Discussion of how Tampa Prep created curriculum for virtual filmmaking.
10 minutes – Sharing student project examples.
10 minutes – Discussion of specific outcomes related to the program and advice/action items for other schools.
