Session description

Empower students to become agents of social change through active learning experiences and projects centered on sustainability, social good, and building a better world. This interactive session promotes diverse global perspectives and encourages innovative initiatives, fostering impactful learning experiences that drive real, positive change.

Outline

This session will be highly interactive and engaging, allowing attendees to learn about impactful projects promoting sustainability and social good, connect with inspiring global educators, and design their own project—focused on creating a better world and connecting to an authentic audience. Physical and digital resources will be provided for teachers to connect, network, and exchange ideas for collaborative projects that drive positive change.

Outline:

• 5 minutes – Introduction of presenter and background
• 10 minutes – Activity highlighting the importance of global collaboration
• 15 minutes – Presentation showcasing global voices, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and innovative projects promoting sustainability and social good
• 20 minutes – Attendees design their own global project connected to an authentic audience
• 10 minutes – Overview of takeaway resources, reflection activity, and wrap-up
