Session description

How can we empower future educators to use AI in effective, research-driven, and ethical ways? This session explores the results of a collaborative action research project aimed at cultivating a generation of educators who are prepared to leverage AI to enhance learning outcomes in their future classrooms.

Outline

5 Minutes: Introduction to the Project and Presenters
Participants will learn about the co-creation process behind the AI-Infused Lesson Planning Workshop and the backgrounds of the presenters.

12 Minutes: Overview of the Action Research Project
Presenters will provide context and share overall findings from the research project, including pre- and post-data analysis, content from the research-based professional development workshops, and practical applications for the field.

8 Minutes: Active Engagement
Participants will engage in a snapshot of the AI Lesson Generation workshop tasks designed for pre-service educators, collaborating to analyze outputs and explore AI tools.

5 Minutes: Discussion on Next Steps and Q&A
A closing discussion will focus on next steps for participants, how to apply insights to their own contexts, and an opportunity for questions.
