Session description

Schools are in crisis! There is a shortage of teachers. Academic achievement is stagnant. Post-COVID student misbehavior is at an all-time high. Schools need help. Enter fathers! For years schools have been dominated by females: teachers and mothers. Schools need fathers to help ASAP!

Outline

The following content will be presented:
1. Recent statistics about K-12 challenges with achievement and misbehavior. (5 minutes)
2. Review data on the impact of fathers on their children's education. (5 minutes)
3. Share information from interviews with K-12 fathers about how they want schools to collaborate with them. (15 minutes)
4. We will use Think-Pair-Share, Kahoot and Four Corners for audience participation to review where they are, differentiate involvement vs engagement and to plan for the next steps. (20 minutes)
5. Conclude by participates sharing their next steps. (15 minutes)
