Session description

The challenges surrounding and supporting teacher burnout leave administrators exacerbated trying to keep teachers afloat; but who is supporting the leader? This session will provide strategies to help not only spark teachers’ joy but also provide strategies for leaders to recharge their own batteries and reignite their spark for leading.

Outline

This presentation will be divided into two parts. The first half of the presentation will focus on strategies to support teacher burnout. The second half will focus on sustainable habits leaders can implement to ensure that they don’t burnout themselves.

Part 1: Strategies to Support Teacher Burnout (30 minutes)
Process: Peer-to-peer interaction, individual reflection, whole group analysis
