Session description

Imagine your students not just reading about history, but stepping into it! In this innovative project, students will embark on a unique journey to explore the fascinating worlds of the Aztec, Inca, and Maya civilizations using the power of SchoolAI. First, students will leverage custom-designed SchoolAI Spaces to conduct ""interviews"" with virtual figures representing these ancient societies. These interactive Spaces will allow students to pose questions and gather rich, contextual information directly from the ""source."" This active learning approach transforms passive information consumption into an engaging investigative experience. Next, the knowledge gleaned from these immersive interviews will come to life in Delightex (formerly CoSpaces). Students will synthesize their findings to create dynamic gallery walks showcasing each civilization. These aren't your typical posters! Each gallery walk will be a navigable 3D environment filled with informative text boxes, captivating images, and relevant 3D objects that visually and tangibly represent key aspects of the Aztec, Inca, and Maya cultures. This project seamlessly blends the power of AI-driven interactive learning with immersive 3D creation, fostering deep understanding, critical thinking, and digital literacy skills. By moving beyond traditional research methods, students will actively construct their knowledge and share their insights in an engaging and visually stunning format.
